I woke up earlier this week to water all over my bathroom floor…as a single mom, with 2 little humans, and about zero knowledge of anything plumbing, I obviously turned to Google…Nuckols was my first & only call. If I could give 10 stars, I would; but 5 will have to suffice…the woman that answered the phone was so sweet and immediately put me at ease, saying she had just the person to help me out…I then talked to the service manager, Jeff, who was amazing…he didn’t just send his guys, then a bill; he explained what the issue was (over the phone w/ pictures), gave me options, and had his guys at my house later that afternoon…the guys were friendly and professional…they fixed the issue, cleaned up after themselves, and even let my son “help” out because what little boy doesn’t love plumbers😊 I also never felt like I was being over-charged or taken advantage of (which you know, sometimes happens when you’re a girl asking for help with something like this) and I actually ended up paying way less than I thought I was going to!!! Thanks Nuckols & team, you saved the day this week!

10/10 experience. We called with a leaking toilet in our studio and they had someone out within 15 minutes, assessed the situation, cleared the backup, and resealed and caulked our toilet all before the close of day. Steven F. was friendly and informative and made sure we knew exactly what was happening. Highly recommend and will absolutely be using them again if we ever need!

Completely clogged sink Fri morning. I had collected a few go-to plumbing companies' numbers off of the Nextdoor site over the years. Started down the list around 8:20 AM, one place said they could get to me next week "sometime," another place said they could get to it over the weekend but weekend prices would be applied, the next company had a fandangled robotic answering service that was a lot like someone calling out bingo, no time for games so the next number was Nuckols Plumbing, a human answered and explained that Albert would be at my house between 11 and 1 to solve my problem and that's exactly what took place. Albert texted that he was on the way and arrived at 11:30. He was polite, focused and explained the details of what needed to be done, how much it would cost, and the mission was accomplished by 1:00. He also explained all the other Nuckols services available. Highly recommended and their number will remain at the top of my list.

Water Heater Replacement. The plumber was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. He and his assistant were very easy to get along with. The plumber thoroughly checked my water heater prior to replacement to make sure I really did need a new one. I pretty much knew from research and prior experience that I did need a replacement, but I appreciated that they didn't just do the work without checking first. They were prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. Very fair pricing. The two people in the office I spoke to prior to making my appointment were also super friendly and helpful. I need to have some work done on my HVAC system, and I will definitely be giving these guys a call!

They are fantastic. After returning from a week-long out-of-town trip, we discovered a leak from our furnace in the attic which had damaged the ceiling in our guest bathroom. We called their emergency number on a Sunday and had a return call within an hour and a visit shortly after that. It was determined that a part was needed that had to be ordered. That took three days, during which we were without heat, but it was fixed today by Gerald, one of the most competent and nicest HVAC technicians we have ever encountered. The heat is back on and we are overjoyed!

I was experiencing an issue where my heat was not working on my downstairs unit. Instead of the 'Big' companies, I decided to support local businesses this go-round. I made a VERY wise decision this morning by calling Nuckols! I submitted an email and was called back in 30 minutes, and Nuckols had me on schedule between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. the same day! Gerald W. was prompt, polite, and personable! Gerald asked a few questions, checked some wiring, and found out some of them had been crossed on the air handler board and some were actually burnt! About an hour later and Gerald had my downstairs working. Gerald had redone the wiring on my air handler board, and I am pleased as blueberry pancakes with Nuckols and Gerald! If Gerald is a reflection of the business as a whole, I have found my forever service! Give Nuckols a try, you won't be sorry!

Contacted Nuckols Plumbing, Heating & Cooling, for a pipe that was leaking that supplements the hot water to my heat pump. My heat pump utilizes the hydronic (aqua) coil as a supplemental heat. Consequently, I needed to find a company with a skilled technician that was knowledgeable with my unit. Chris came on time and inspected the problem thoroughly. There were no fees involved for coming to my house and presented a very reasonable estimate. I highly recommend Nuckols Plumbing, Heating & Cooling as they are very professional and care for their customers.

This review was from 2 months ago. I've added more in quotes about my more recent experience with Nuckols. I had a pull-down faucet that became loose at the base and needed tightening up. I called yesterday and got an appointment for this morning! Jeff was on time, very friendly, and efficient. Nuckols is my preferred plumbing company. "On September 20th (Friday night), I discovered my water heater was leaking, so called their emergency number. Within an hour, Steven F. came out and assessed the need to replace it. He was very reassuring that it was a slow leak and all I needed to do was sop up the water until they could replace it the following Tuesday. On Sunday, I had another concern, and he quickly returned my call and reassured me. On the day of the installation, he and Hunter were fabulous (courteous, informative, and efficient!) Nuckols is definitely my plumbing company!"

Dan came out to fix our leaking shower. We live in an apartment with original, 99-year-old pipes, so it was a bit of a challenge finding the right parts. Dan was diligent and hard-working. He also avoided doing major damage, like tearing down the shower wall or shutting off the water for the entire building. He was also kind and courteous. Now, our leak is fixed AND we have better water pressure. Thanks, Dan!

As a new resident of Ashland, VA, I was very pleased with the service I received today from Nuckols Plumbing & Gas. From the time I called and spoke with the management of the company until the end of the appointment with Albert, I felt confident in this business' knowledge and expertise. Albert also mentioned other services they provide, including HVAC. What I really appreciated was that they didn't try to nickel and dime me or charge me an unrealistic service fee. In fact, the service fee was waived once I agreed to have them provide the necessary service, unlike other companies that I called that were going to provide a service fee, in addition to the cost/labor of the job. This is a business that I would recommend, and you will find a favorable rating on the BBB.
